Sexualised violence and its prevention might look like a German problem. Indeed this crime is reported form all over the world. As christians we are obliged to stand with the weak. In this course you’ll learn to recognise dangers and how to deal with them.
Seminar objectives:
Participants will be familiar with the basic terminology relating to sexualised violence. They will be aware of appropriate protective measures, the reporting procedures for complaints, and support services for further enquiries. +
Target group:
Pastoral staff in parishes of other native languages and rites.

Knowledge of English

- Definition of terms: What is meant by sexualised violence?
- How can one speak about this topic using appropriate language?
- What perpetrator strategies are known?
- What types of perpetrators are known?
- How can a congregation protect itself?
- What should be done if a report is made?
